Sports Injuries
The term “sports injuries” refers to any injury that occurs during athletic activity, whether at a professional or amateur level.
Meniscus Tear
While anyone can suffer a meniscus tear, athletes—especially those who play team sports like basketball, soccer, and volleyball—are more prone to it.
Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Tear
One of the most common sports-related knee injuries is a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
Knee Cartilage Tear
A knee cartilage tear is a common cause of knee pain that can make walking difficult or even painful.
Shoulder Tendon Tear (Rotator Cuff Tear)
A shoulder tendon tear is a common cause of shoulder pain. It leads to reduced muscle strength and loss of smooth shoulder motion.
Shoulder Dislocation
The term shoulder dislocation describes the condition in which the head of the humerus bone moves away from the glenoid cavity.
Cartilage Lesion of the Ankle (Chondral Injuries)
The ankle joint is formed by the articulation of three bones: the distal end of the tibia, the fibula, and the talus. These three bones are held together by a network of ligaments, which stabilize the joint and protect it from abnormal movements and injuries.
Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITBS)
